Cyber Valley Research Fund develops visualization tools that support musicians when practicing independently

Michael Sedlmair, Frank Heyen, and their research team have completed their research project “InstruData—Data-driven Musical Instrument Education”. The project was funded by the Cyber Valley Research Fund and was carried out between 2022 and 2025 at the University of Stuttgart. Its aim was to develop a music education tool to support musicians by providing them with automatically generated visual feedback so they can check for mistakes when practicing independently.
